9th Annual AKI Symposium Features Kidney Health Experts and Researchers
Fostering Across-Campus Research Collaboration on Acute Kidney Injury and Promoting Kidney Health Education
The one-day AKI Symposium on October 31, 2019 will feature scientific experts presenting the latest acute kidney injury research, abstract presentations by five junior investigators, and two keynote speakers:
12 pm: Samir Parikh, MD, from Harvard School of Medicine will present, “Metabolic Determinants of AKI Resistance—PGC1a-NAD+,” and
12:35 pm: Anupam Agarwal, MBBS, from University of Alabama at Birmingham School of Medicine, will present, “Heme Oxygenase-1 as a Protective Mechanism in AKI.”
AKI Symposium includes:
