Ericka Fink, MD, MS Receives Collaboration Award by NICHD
Ericka Fink, MD, MS and colleagues on the COVID-19 Common Data Elements Working Groups were selected to receive a Collaboration Award by the Eunice Kennedy Shriver National Institute of Child Health and Human Development at a virtual celebration on November 30, 2021. The award ceremony will be hosted by Diana W. Bianchi, MD, director of the NICHD.
Dr. Fink leads the pediatric arm of the Global Consortium to Study Neurological Dysfunction in COVID-19. She represented the consortium as a member of the group that developed common psychosocial data elements and measures. A second group developed common biomedical data elements and measures.
The collaborative effort of both groups produced the common data elements guidelines document, “Promoting Data Harmonization to Accelerate COVID-19 Pediatric Research,” that was published on the National Institutes of Health website and promoted by NICHD for use in pediatric COVID-19 related studies.
The Collaboration Award recognizes Dr. Fink and other individuals who have advanced the Institute's mission through successful collaboration with partners across NICHD or outside the Institute.
