UPMC Presbyterian Surgical ICU

 

The Surgical ICU (SICU) is an eight-bed unit that is closely aligned with and adjacent to the Cardiothoracic ICU. The SICU delivers care to adult patients who have undergone non-cardiac thoracic and vascular surgery.

The SICU specializes in pre- and post-operative critical care after:

  • Pneumonectomy
  • Lobectomy
  • Esophagectomy
  • Major open and endovascular surgery
