Robert Clark, MD, has accepted the position of medical director of the Brain Care Institute (BCI) at Children’s Hospital of Pittsburgh of UPMC. Clark is chief of the Division of Pediatric Critical Care Medicine and a professor in the Department of Critical Care Medicine and Pediatrics at the University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine.

Docimo, MD, Chief Medical Officer at Children's Hospital said in a statement that “In addition to being an international leader in clinical and basic research and education pertaining to critical care medicine in pediatrics, Dr. Clark has led a team with particular interest in recovery from and prevention of brain injury.”
In his new role, Clark will be working with Michael Drnach and Jodie Vento to transform the BCI into a strategic pediatric service line at Children’s. The next stage of development will be focused on strengthening the multidisciplinary nature of the BCI across the continuum of care and fostering an environment in which practitioners and researchers can share ideas and knowledge.
