Clinical Assistant Professor
Dr. Siedsma completed an adult clinical fellowship in the Department of Critical Care Medicine in June 2015, in which he served as Chief Fellow. He completed a CRISMA Research fellowship in June 2016, in which, under the mentorship of Dr. Jeremy Kahn, he developed novel high fidelity simulations to measure and improve ICU clinician performance. He attended medical school at the University of Illinois - Chicago and remained there for a combined residency in Internal Medicine and Emergency Medicine. His research focuses on the interface between medical education and clinical outcomes in critical care, particularly related to severe acute respiratory failure, resuscitation, and transitions of care.
