Andy completed college at Hope College in Holland, MI, medical school and his Masters in Public Health at Wayne State University School of Medicine, residency at University of Michigan, and fellowship at University of Pittsburgh. He is a T-32 fellow with an appointment at the Clinical Research, Investigation, and Systems Modeling of Acute Illness Center. His research is focused on late adverse outcomes and the role of chronic disease in pediatric sepsis. He is married to Emilie Prout, and they have two sons, Caleb and Lucas.
