The 7th Annual Acute Kidney Injury (AKI) Symposium will aim to continue across campus dialogue on acute kidney injury to identify areas of interest, collaboration and preliminary data in preparation for grant application.
The event will include lectures given by University of Pittsburgh researchers on cutting edge AKI research.
The Symposium will feature Dr. Andrew Shaw, Executive Medical Director for Perioperative Services, and Executive Vice Chair, Anesthesiology at Vanderbilt University Medical Center and Dr. Benjamin D. Humphreys, Associate Professor and Chief, Division of Nephrology, Division of Renal Diseases from Washington University School of Medicine, as keynote speakers. Their talks will discuss “Endpoints for Clinical Trials in AKI – an Update from the StEP Initiative” and “Acute to Chronic Kidney Disease: Mechanistic Insights”, respectively.
